It’s Worth It

Sometimes we think we are so good
But we never really do what we should
The strength of our flesh is very weak
We can try but then we just reach our peak
So to get through all the rough of this life
Trust in the Lord who gave us his life
But you don’t understand, there’s affliction and pain
Well Just hold on to the faith, when we die there’s great gain
We as Christians need to be meek
Even if they hit you give them the other cheek
Tell me what you think, should you fight, or walk away?
Take a deep breath and pray and behave
Sometimes we never listen to the way things ought to be
That’s probably why theres consequences, pain, and misery
My night time pillow is not dry
Well brother it’s okay to cry, keep your faith when it’s tried
Those tears are oh so precious indeed
We’re getting tempered when we stay in belief
One day this flesh will die off
Then we’ll see what we believe so please don’t stop
Check it out, we all have flaws and we’re weak in the flesh
I know everybody listening knows a lot about stress
How dare we claim self-righteousness
We’d be lying because we know we’ve still got some mess
Oh wretched man I am, who can deliver me?
Well Christ is the way to life eternally
Thank God for our advocate, our hope ,and our faith
Be patient through the trial enter through the straight gate
Sometimes we think we are so good
But we never really do what we should
Though we get tired, though we have affliction
And when we are persecuted
Remember, believe the word and pray
God can hold your hand through it
And the outcome will be worth it
Ah oooh, Because I am designed just like you
The rough of this life is so very temporary
So don’t worry bout it ya’ll just remember what is stationary
Sometimes we think we are so good

Love One Another

I’m so happy about my portion of life
I’ve got food shelter family and a wonderful wife
I’m glad for walking, I’m glad for breathing
I’m glad for poetry, I’m glad for believing
I really think the smaller things of our lives
Carry much more weight than we’ll ever realize
Like teaching the youth, like giving a hug
Like feeding the hungry and sharing true love
When we love one another, we’re truly loved
When we forgive one another, we’re reconciled
A few years ago I had to understand something
Good works with no charity is good for nothing
You need to appreciate that vertical love
Then the horizontal will be straight from above
Be quick to love so you won’t get bitter
Flowers blossom but they also whither
And, I know sometimes the heart gets cold
But, forgive 70 times 7 in the scriptures we’re told
When we love one another, we’re truly loved
When we forgive one another, we’re reconciled

Just Praise

Here we go, it’s another day
I’m on my way to work again
I’m going to try, try to win
At 5am I’m glad to be alive
but sometimes I feel like I’m losing my drive
I say Thanks above, and then I go get dressed
Going to try my best and try not to stress
Well, I hit the freeway
Red brake lights stacked 30 miles away
So I, So I guess I’ll just chill
And then start thinking about these bills.
Well should I complain about my life
Or should I give thanks to the
One who gave me my life
Just praise, just praise just praise,
Praise praise The Lord in the stormy weather
There’s hope There’s hope There’s hope
There’s hope things are going to get much better

And even as I write this verse
I know some people go through much more worse
Like, being sick with no food to eat
Selling there bodies for love
Not even knowing the Lord
And there’s really nothing worse than that
We need to repent for lies we call a fact
Turn or burn, believe in Christ
I know heaven’s gunna be real nice.
So should I complain about my life
Or should I give thanks to the
One who gave me my life

These Last Days

I know it’s been a very long time

It’s a tough life to live
But we’re not here alone
God gave his Son, through his blood he atoned
Everywhere I go I think this world is getting stranger
The end is getting closer there’s a heightened state of danger
The last days, the last days, be spiritually prepared
Face a lion with no faith; he’ll know you’re really scared
I know I’m no good on my own
There’s only One good on the throne
And I know that you know that we have
The power to overcome by the blood of the Lamb
Don’t worry about our wicked adversary
If you’re a Christian then you do what’s necessary
You pick up the word and put your armour on
Submit yourself to God, resist the devil, he’ll be gone
And here’s why I’m telling ya
This world is gunna yell at ya
Endure to the end, God’s love won’t be failing ya
Now there’s an empty tomb, get it deep down in you
Get stablished on the truth, then proclaim it from the roof
These last days, these last days, let’s not be ashamed
There’s power in His name, our King forever will reign
JESUS is his name, I will forever proclaim
He was raised form the grave and he took away my pain

Thank God for the prophets and the apostles guided pen
The word gives life, sanctified from above
No one on this earth can remove me from his love

Let’s remain faithful and believe the good Shepherd

I’m in this land today, a decedent of a slave
We was taken from so far away
All the way to the USA
Several hundred years ago they say
For a brother, how much did they pay?
Born a couple days just after May
Ivory Coast and Ghana in my DNA
In chains and forced on ships
Getting beaten and getting whipped
And somehow they made it alive
I wanna know, what was their drive?
And also, would America thrive?
And all so, would America thrive?
For man stealing and killing children
What will it take for my country’s healing?
Month of February? A new president?
40 acres and mule? Are tax dollars being spent?
To build up or tear down? To swim or drown?
When I was a kid, I asked my dad, “Why am I brown?“
I couldn’t understand why people were so mean…
But today we resolve this rough heritage
By trusting God and learning how to forgive…
Cuz all have sinned and need God’s grace
Don’t hate your brother when you haven’t seen God’s face
The Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of God
All tongues and all tribes, for all mankind, Jesus Christ died
And rose again, his blood washes our sin
I want you to see the gospel, not the color of skin
From Cameroon to Congo, Middle East to Greece
Scandinavia and all of Asia, America, Australia
From Ireland to Spain, believe in God’s name
Love God and your brother, the primary two
The love of Christ is here for me and you
Believe God’s word, let him interpret

A mother’s love is so very unique

She and daddy, though ordained brought me into this world
My mom’s a virtuous woman, a priceless pearl
From my very first birth, momma provided me care
And when I was a teenager, she provided me prayer
So how can I thank you?
